Wine tasting under the trees at Herron Bluff
Wine tasting under the trees at Herron Bluff

Odyssey day 18 finds us on the road again to Eastern Washington on the edge of the Tri-Cities region. Situated at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers in Eastern Washington, the Tri-Cities comprise three closely linked cities in the southeastern part of the state: Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland. Our destination was right in the midst of that. Benton City is more rural and known for its' vineyards and wineries.

The Herron Bluff winery in Benton City is another small local winery we spent a day and night at. So far we have been batting a thousand at these wineries. They have all been fantastic! This one was no different. Another peaceful spot with awesome valley views! We had at least an acre of our own space. Another Harvest Host campsite gem.

The owner of the winery developed a passion for wines from when he was a teenager and it certainly showed. We had our own private wine tasting underneath the trees on the property gardens. It was hot that day so the shade was a welcome amenity!

If you enjoy wine, these Harvest Host sites have so far been a sure winner!

Thanks for reading!
