Missoula to home in 3 days and about 1400 miles

Odyssey day 38 we travel home from Missoula via Salt Lake City and Abiquiu, New Mexico. The final leg of the 2026 trip was uneventful. No engine lights, no DEF warnings and no fuel leaks.

Looking back we did have the vehicle issues that resulted in major route changes, but in the end we felt it led to some unexpected adventures which were really amazing, such as the 5 night stay at Mike's farm in Idaho and the bike trails in the Spokane Valley and Coeur d'Alene.

I am sure anyone reading this blog may think,"Geez, why would I want to get into RVing with all the problems". That's understandable, but I think you either love it or you hate it and if you do love being on the road exploring some amazing places in this country, I think you would agree that it's worth it. When we got hit with all these things we did wonder for a short time what the heck we were doing, but I think most people who use these a lot realize you're going to have things happen, much like when you own a home. Now put that on wheels! It's inescapable.
